WHO WE ARE

1) PASSIONATE PURSUIT OF HIS PRESENCE:

“Jesus replied: ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’” Matthew 22:37

Our highest priority is found in pursuit of God. He is the center of our lives and the center purpose of our existence... We strive to know Him, hear Him, and walk with Him in a more intimate way, falling more in love with Him daily.

2) LOVE UNTIL IT HURTS:

“My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you.” John 15:12

We believe that every person, regardless of background, sin, or past mistakes, is a precious gift from God, highly valued and full of purpose and worth. We not only love, but we love until it hurts! In the same way Christ loved us, we love in a way that costs us everything!

3) REAL RELATIONSHIPS:

“I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one.” John 17:22

We were created by relationship, for relationships. We are real people, discovering life together. We aren’t perfect, but we are willing to open our hearts and lives to one another, in a real and vulnerable way, as we pursue God’s plans and purposes.

4) GIVE - AND THEN GIVE SOME MORE:

“Remember this… whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows generously will also reap generously.” 2 Cor. 9:6

With the realization that we can never out-give God, we are outrageous givers! Not only givers of finances, but also givers of our time, our talents, our love, and ourselves. We will give all we have, and then find a way to give some more.

5) PEOPLE > PEOPLE:

“For God so loved the world…” John 3:16

The “world” is not just a place, but the “world” is made up of people. Jesus loves people! He prioritized people! More than religious rules or regulations, He loved people. People are our priority! More than programs or preferences, we will always prioritize people and be willing to reach them by any means necessary.

6) EVERY MEMBER MATTERS:

“Just as one body, though one, has many parts, but all its many parts form one body, so it is with Christ.” 1 Cor. 12:12

Every member of the body is vital and important! The body will never be healthy until every member is functioning properly. There is no job that is greater than or less than. We are one body, and everybody serves at Dream City Church.
